Footballer a Prisoner
Private John Malloch, Lewis Gun Section, Royal Scots, whose wife resides at 80 Blackness Road, is a prisoner of war and wounded. He was reported missing on 28th March, but it was only on Tuesday that his wife was informed that he was a prisoner. Prior to joining the army two years ago Pte. Malloch was employed at Ashton Works, Hawkhill. He was well known in junior football circles in Dundee, and for some time he played for Cardiff City.
