DUNDEE GUNNER WINS THE MILITARY MEDAL.
Gunner Peebles Macnamara, R.F.A., son of Mr John Macnamara, 122 Alexander Street, Dundee, has been awarded the Military Medal for conspicuous bravery on the field. He enlisted in February of this year, and six months later went to the front. He had only been in action for three days when he won his honour.
Prior to enlisting he was employed in the Goods Department of the North British Railway Company, Dundee.
