More about William Logan

William Logan D.C.M.    Black Watch

D.C.M. FOR MUCH WOUNDED DUNDONIAN.

Corporal William Logan, Black Watch, has been decorated with the Distinguished Conduct Medal for conspicuous gallantry and initiative in taking charge of a party of men and controlling their fire after all the officers of his company had made the supreme sacrifice.  He also assisted a wounded officer to a place of safety under heavy fire.  Corporal Logan has himself been wounded no less than seven times, while his brother, Drummer George, who is in the same regiment, has been wounded three times.

Both belong to Dundee, and are sons of the late James Logan, general dealer, but resided with their sister, Mrs Minnock, 32 Balgonie Terrace, Bowhill.
