Ronald Hay Cameron Highlanders (Canadians)
Ronald Hay, Cameron Highlanders (Canadians), son of Mr Charles Hay, builder, 239 King Street, Broughty Ferry, has been has been awarded the Military Medal for distinguished conduct on the field and promoted to Company Sergeant-Major.
C.S.M. Hay left Dundee in 1912 for Winnipeg, and came over with the Cameron Highlanders almost two years ago. He was severely wounded in France, and was for a time in hospital in this country. Later he was appointed an instructor of cadets. He then returned to the front. The gallant sergeant-major is a mason to trade.
