Lawrence Alfred Dewar 20821 Machine Gun Corps
MILITARY MEDAL FOR DUNDEE SOLDIER.
Private A. L. Dewar, of the Machine Gun Corps, has been awarded the Military Medal. Pte Dewar, whose wife and family reside at 14 Park Avenue, Dundee, was formerly a painter in the employment of Mr P. Roberts, Albert Street. He joined the K.O.S.B. in August, 1916, and was afterwards transferred to the Machine Gun Corps. He has been at the front for nine months. Pte. Dewar had three brothers in the army, but the youngest, David, died recently at Salonika from fever. He had been in the Royal Field Artillery for four years.
