Hugh Campbell   22367   Machine Gun Corps

DUNDEE SOLDIER GAINS MILITARY MEDAL.

Private Hugh Campbell, Machine Gun Corps, youngest son of Mr H. Campbell, blacksmith, 2 Hill Street, Dundee, has been awarded the Military Medal.  Private Campbell joined the Black Watch in January, 1915, but was subsequently transferred to the Machine Gun Corps, and went to the front in October of the same year.  Prior to joining the forces, Pte. Campbell who is 28 years of age, was a painter.  His wife and family reside at 7 Cherryfield Lane, Dundee.
