TAYPORT PRIVATE KILLED BY SNIPER.
Intimation has been received by Mr and Mrs Rennie, Castle Street, Tayport, that their eldest son, Pte. Hugh Rennie, H.L.I., has been killed in action on 27th December. He was shot in the mouth by a German sniper and instantly killed. He was twenty years of age, and was well liked by all who knew him, as he was of a very happy, free, and kind disposition. His captain wrote :–“He died a noble death in the front line.”
