DUNDEE NAVAL VOLUNTEER
RECEIVES HIS SECOND WOUND AT THE DARDANELLES.
A.B. John Auchterlonie, a member of the Howe Battalion of the Royal Naval Division, has twice been wounded in the fighting at the Dardanelles.
Mr John Auchterlonie, 11 Fleuchar Street, Dundee, yesterday received intimation of the second mishap to his son. The official announcement stated that A.B. Auchterlonie was wounded in action near the Dardanelles on 17th August. Auchterlonie, who is 18 years of age, enlisted on 22nd October last. He was formerly employed as a grocer’s assistant.
