James Milton 7601 Scots Guards
TWO DUNDEE BROTHERS KILLED.
Mrs Milton, 61 Wilkie’s Lane, Dundee, has been informed that her son, Private James Milton, Scots Guards, was killed by a shell on 4th July.
Private Milton had been in the army for seven years, and had been at the front since the outbreak of hostilities. He had been three times previously wounded. He was 24 years of age. Mrs Milton has a son, Peter serving with the Royal Engineers, while one was killed in September last. Her husband, now deceased, served through the Boer War.

James was the brother of Pte Thomas Milton, 2974, 4th Battalion Black Watch, who was killed in action 20.09.1916.
