Mr John Fairweather, 6 Bell Street, , has received intimation of the death in action on 27th March of his son, Private A. Fairweather, Black Watch.  Private Fairweather, who was 27 years of age, came over from America to enlist two years ago.  He joined the Scottish Horse, but was subsequently transferred to the Black Watch.  He had been at the front for a year.  Mr Fairweather has other three sons in the forces, one (Charles) being in the American Army, and John, who was in the H.L.I., is a prisoner of war in Germany.  The other son, Norman is in the M.G.C.
