Frederick is believed to be the brother of Pte John Magill, 426314, 715th Labour Coy, Labour Corps, Pte William Magill, 381768, 743rd A.E. Coy, Royal Scots & Pte David Magill, 28869, 1/5th Battalion (attached to 15th Btn, Hussars) Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders, who also all served and are believed to have returned home safely.
