Alexander had two brothers who also served in the Canadian Army during the Great War, they were, Trooper Alfred Henry 113286, of  the 4th Battalion, Canadian Mounted Rifles and Sgt Charles Henry 418923, of the 8th Brigade, Canadian Field Artillery.
