More about John (aka Jack) Gloag
John has no known grave but is remembered on the Menin Gate Memorial. His mother moved at some point after John enlisted and resided at 882 College Ave, Winnipeg, and later at 438 Boyd Ave, Winnipeg. John had two brothers who also served in the Canadian Army during the Great War, they were Pte George McQueen Gloag, M.M. 147547 of the 78th Battalion Canadian Infantry and Pte Peter Gloag 524396, of No10 Manitoba Military Hospital, Canadian Army Medical Corps.
