TWO DUNDEE BROTHERS KILLED.
Great sorrow has fallen on Mr and Mrs George Stark, 11 Rosefield Street, Dundee, who have just been informed of the death at the front of their two sons–Private William Stark, Canadians, and Gunner Fred Stark, R.F.A. Both killed within three days of each other.
Fred, who was a Territorial, was mobilised at the outbreak of war. He went to the front with the R.F.A. in May, 1915. He was wounded in April of this year. His commanding officer writes of his “excellent character, good work, and coolness under fire.” Mr and Mrs Stark have two sons still with the colours–James, in the Royal Engineers and Edward, in the Machine Gun Corps in Egypt, the latter being wounded in September, 1915. A son-in-law was killed on 4th October.
