Thomas Milton 2974 Black Watch
DUNDEE SOLDIER KILLED.
Private Thomas Milton, son of Mrs Milton, 61 Wilkie’s Lane, and a member of a patriotic family, has fallen in action. Deceased, who was 22 years of age, was in the Black Watch, and his mother has received intimation that he was killed in September. He enlisted only two years ago, prior to which he was employed as a calender worker in Belmont Works.
Mrs Milton has two other sons in the army. Private James Milton (24) is in the Scots Guards, and has twice been wounded. Sapper Peter Milton (20), Royal Engineers, is also on active service. The father, the late Mr James Milton, was also a soldier, and fought with the Black Watch in South Africa.

Thomas was the brother of Guardsman James Milton, 7601, 2nd Battalion, Scots Guards, who was killed in action, 04.04.1917.

MEMBER OF PATRIOTIC FAMILY KILLED.
Private Thomas Milton, Black Watch, who has been killed in action. Private Milton was 22 years of age, and a son of Mrs Milton, 51 Wilkie’s Lane, Dundee. The deceased soldier enlisted two years ago, prior to which he was employed as a calender worker in Belmont Works. Mrs Milton has two sons still serving. Private James Milton (24), is in the Scots Guards, and has twice been wounded. Sapper Peter Milton (20), R.E., is also on active service. The father, Mr James Milton, was also a soldier, and fought with the Black Watch in South Africa.
