More about James McGowan
Two of his brothers both served in the Great War, Cpl John McGregor McGowan, 164153 served with the 2nd Battalion, Canadian Machine Gun Corps and was awarded the Military Medal 02.11.1917. He survived the war. His other brother Sgt David McGowan 200813, 4/5th Battalion, Black Watch, was killed in action 31.07.1917.
