Mr and Mrs Wm. Lawrence, 6 Lamb’s Lane, Victoria Road, have received intimation that their eldest son, Private Wm. Lawrence, Royal Scots, has made the supreme sacrifice. He was hit with a gas shell on 23d May, and died on the 26th. Pte. Lawrence enlisted about two years ago. Previous to enlisting he was employed as warehouseman with James Watson & Co., Ltd., distillers, Seagate.
