Edward Dunn 7644 Scottish Rifles
DUNDEE VETERAN KILLED.
Another Dundee victim of the fierce German resistance at Neuve Chapelle is Private Edward Dunn, of the 2nd Cameronians (Scottish Rifles).
Private Dunn’s mother, who resides at 31 Polepark Road, has received official intimation of the death of her son in that memorable engagement.
Although only in his 36th year, Private Dunn saw twenty years’ service with the Rifles. He was a Reservist, and on the outbreak of war was employed on one of the railways. He was unmarried.
His younger brother, Pte Stephen Dunn, 881, is a member of the 2nd Black Watch, and is at present on active service on the Continent.
