John’s mother is also recorded as living at 38 Kemback St, Dundee when he enlisted. It would appear that Peter’s wife may have remarried following his death as his service records list a Mrs Horsburgh (nee Dalziel) of 39 High St, Dundee as a widow and his dependant.
Peter’s brother George also served in the Great War in 1st Battalion Black Watch, Reg No 2033 and was killed in action 09/05/1915 aged 21.
