At the time of Lindsay’s attestation his parents were living at 20 South Ellen St Dundee but emigrated to Canada at some point and were living at 322 Cameron St, Fort William, Ontario.
Lindsay was the brother of Pte George Barclay, 438304 of the 52nd Battalion Canadian Infantry and was killed in action on 29/12/1917 and Pte Robert Herd Barclay, 431182 of the 28th Battalion, Canadian Infantry and who survived the war.
