DOWNFIELD GUNNER FALLS IN ACTION.
Mr and Mrs David S. Anderson, 17 Muirfield Road, Downfield, have received official information of the death of their son, Gunner John Powrie Anderson, who was killed in action on 27th September. Gunner Anderson joined the Artillery in January last, and had been in France since April. Two other sons are with the colours, the elder being a sergeant with the R.G.A., the younger one having seen service at Salonika, being attached to a London Field Ambulance, but is now at a rest camp.
