Samuel Anderson 2019 Black Watch
DUNDEE BLACK WATCH SOLDIER’S SERIOUS WOUNDS.
A Dundee member of the 2d Black Watch, which battalion forms part of the Indian Expeditionary Force, received serious wounds on the 10th inst. He is Private Samuel Anderson, and he was hit on both legs. Information of the misfortune which Pte. Anderson has met was contained in a letter which a comrade sent to the wounded soldier’s sister, Mrs Reilly, 8 Hean’s Lane. He mentions that Anderson has been seriously wounded.
Pte. Anderson has seen four years’ service in the army, and is 23 years of age. Previous to joining he was employed in the dyeworks of Thomson, Shepherd, & Co.
