ALLAN―Accidentally drowned in the River Shannon, Ireland, on May 17th, while on duty, Trooper James Allan, King Edward’s Horse, 4th son of the late William Allan, shipmaster, Baffin Street, Dundee. Interred at Longford Presbyterian Church, Ireland, with full military honours.
